Tupper’s Hop Pocket!

I know. This has nothing to do with #ncbeer. But it’s a beer you should get to know. Anytime I would go back to VA to visit my parents or meet friends at a bar in DC (like the Big Hunt!) I would order a Tupper’s Hop Pocket. A dark amber colored well balanced ale that is only found in DC, Maryland and northern Virginia. It went out of production for a few years (read the Washington Post article for a brief history) but came back late last year. Now being brewed by St Georges Brewing in Virginia Beach and now packaged in 4 packs. So, I have not had one in a few years and then, last week, I was the lucky recipient of a special delivery from Maryland! What can I say, I’m just trying to spread the word! I encourage you to seek out Tupper’s Hop Pocket when you travel to the DC area ! They also produce an award winning Pilsner that I have not yet tried!
